Introspection

A: 'Why do you want to become a teacher?'

B: I believe this is the calling, mission, or one of the purposes I have to fulfill in this world. It is a form of my worship to the Lord, because I deem it as a good and an effective means of sharing God to students.

A: Who are the persons who influenced you to take the course?

B: I am doing this for my Lord. Since God loves the youth, I know I should also have a heart for them. I am indeed blessed because He has blessed me with a number of role models who are worthy of emulation. Most of them are my former English teachers in high school, others are some of my professors in college. All of them shared pieces of themselves that influenced the whole me.

A: Are you not afraid of becoming a teacher?

B: No, I'm not. I may be nervous, but never afraid because God is with me. I know He is always right beside me.

A: Do you think you can make it?

B: Yes, through God and for God. Some people may think that I am not suitable for the job because I am very small and slender for my age. Some people even said that if I were to become their teacher, they won't dare listen to me. But all those things I consider blessings in disguise. Those criticisms draw me closer to God. I cry over these things to Him and I thank Him because He listens. I know physical appearance is not God's measure. It can never hamper me to become the person-teacher that God wants me to be.

A: Did you ever think of giving up?

B: Yes, because of a number of things like high expectations of other people, pressures and the like. But God gives me reasons to keep going.

A: By the way, what is your name?

B: I am you.
